I finally got around to mounting the solar panel, completing the solar powered water pump for my rain barrel.

I found this 12V DC water pump at the Tractor Supply store near where I live. Hooked it up to a 12V 7ah battery that was charged by my 6.5 watt solar cell and was able to pump water. This system seems to work really well.
